About this project

The Yemen Joint Response is a 3-year project funded by the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs through the Dutch Relief Alliance. It focuses on short-term and longer-term needs in Lahj and Marib. It encompasses multiple sectors, including emergency food security and livelihoods, protection and WASH. It supports vulnerable people in restoring and improving their livelihoods and creating income opportunities to build their resilience in order to cope with the impacts of the ongoing crises as both locations are faced with complex and multi-dimensional humanitarian challenges, including displacement and high levels of food insecurity. Priorities include thedistribution of cash grants for businesses, establishing community-based protection networks, rehabilitation of water supply systems and hygiene promotion activities. As part of this project, Oxfam in Yemen is partnering with two Yemeni organisations.
