About this project

MIFTAH – Outcome 3: Enhanced Institutional and Social ResilienceMIFTAH will lead Outcome 3, focusing on strengthening institutionaland social resilience at the community and local governance levels. Drawing on its expertise in community empowerment, social accountability, and inclusive governance, MIFTAH will support community-based disaster risk reduction (DRR), social cohesion, and accountable local governance. The interventions will prioritize the meaningful participation of women, youth, persons with disabilities, and other marginalized groups, reinforcing resilience, trust, and inclusive decision-making.Output 3.1: Community-Based Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR)MIFTAH will establish 14 inclusive community DRR groups, ensuring the participation of women, youth, elderly people, and persons with disabilities. At least 170 community members (minimum 50% women) will be trained in shock-responsive planning, riskanalysis, and preparedness. These groups will develop and implement 14 community DRR plans and practical initiatives, strengtheninglocal capacity to anticipate, respond to, and recover from climate, environmental, and socio-economic shocks.Output 3.2: Community Cohesion and Social AccountabilityTo strengthen social cohesion and inclusive participation, MIFTAH will train 28 community members (at least 50% women) on feedback, complaints, and protection mechanisms.
