About this project

ESDC will implement Outcomes 1 and 2 in the Jordan Valley and Jerusalem Governorate (J2 – North-West villages), focusing on integrated livelihood recovery, food security, and the strengthening of climate-resilient and green local economic systems. ESDC will deliver cash-for-work and land rehabilitation activities to support vulnerable households with short-term income while improving productive and community infrastructure. It will enhance food security by supporting small-scale farmers through agricultural inputs and Good Agricultural Practices training, and by linking vulnerable households to local producers through integrated food assistance. In parallel, ESDC will support small businesses and cooperatives through technical assistance, productive asset support, financial literacy, and market linkages, while contributing to market-aligned skills development and youth- and women-led innovation initiatives adapted to the specific constraints of the Jordan Valley and Jerusalem periphery.Outcome 1: Securedbasic needs and enhanced immediate livelihood opportunities -Output 1.1: Temporary employment (CfW) - Activities: (1.1.1.a) Conduct needs assessment; and beneficiary selection(1.1.1.b) Hire 250 unemployed individuals (at least 75 women, including youth/disabled) for infrastructure rehab (water, roads, schools).
