About this project

Oxfam in Cambodia through the Mekong Australia Partnership Phase 2 (MAP2), provided technical, financial, and accompaniment supports to civil society organizations, advocating for inclusive and effective water and climate-related policies at multiple levels. The project aligns with MAP2 goals: increasing leadership and economic opportunities for marginalized groups, promoting coordinated and sustainable water resource management, and reducing vulnerability to climate change. Gender Equality, Disability, and Social Inclusion (GEDSI) through inclusive women’s leadership is a key program outcome, contributing to improved water resource governance and climate resilience. The project overall goal is to contribute to Resilient, Inclusive and Sustainable Development of the Mekong basin in Cambodia by enhancing water resources governance and community resilience to climate and human induced changes in access to riverine natural resources. 1.4.1 Objectives (End of Program Outcome) 1. Targeted women leaders and representatives of marginalised groups supported by the Project in Cambodia, engage with and influence water governance and related disaster/climate change policies, events, platforms and processes at local, national and regional levels. 2.
