About this project

My Village (MVi), a Cambodian non-profit organization established in 2006 and officially registered in 2007. MVi operates in the northeast provinces of Cambodia, including Mondulkiri, Kratie, and Stung Treng. Its mission focuses on empowering Indigenous and localcommunities to manage natural resources and improve livelihoods. MVi emphasizes transparency, accountability, and community ownership while advocating for Indigenous Peoples' rights and sustainable development. The proposed interventions of MVI for the implementation of IP3 encompass three interconnected pillars: Gender Equality, Disability, and Social Inclusion (GEDSI) and Feminist Influencing, Water Resource Governance (WRG), and Climate Resilient Communities. Pillar 1 aims to advance the leadership, agency, and representation of diverse women leaders, including Indigenous women, People with Disabilities, and marginalized social groups, to influenceWRG and climate resilience policies and practices. It serves as a flagship initiative that integrates with the other two pillars. Pillar 2 focuses on empowering civil society networks and coalitions to actively engage in WRG fora and policy processes, ensuring that diverse perspectives—particularly those of youth, People with Disabilities, and Indigenous Peoples—are included.
