About this project

The 3S Rivers Protection Network (3SPN) is a Cambodian civil society organization that focuses on supporting communities affected by hydropower dams along the Sesan, Srepok, and Sekong Rivers. They work to restore the socio-economic and environmental rights of indigenous people living along these rivers by building grassroots community networks, engaging in advocacy, conducting research, and raising awareness about the impacts of hydropower projects. Their collaboration with local, national, and international partners aims to strengthen the capacity of communities and promote sustainable river governance. 3SPN is collaborating to implement IP3 in the 3S region of Ratanakiri province, with a focus on three interconnected pillars: Gender Equality, Disability, and Social Inclusion (GEDSI) and Feminist Influencing, Water Resource Governance (WRG), and Climate Resilient Communities. Pillar 1 is dedicated to advancing the leadership, agency, and representation of diverse women leaders, including Indigenous women, People with Disabilities, and marginalized social groups, to influence WRG and climate resilience policies and practices. As a flagship initiative, it is seamlesslyintegrated with the other two pillars.
