About this project

The partner will support building the capacity of the private sector to link community based ecotourism sites to the market. The Cambodia Sustainable Landscape and Ecotourism Project (CSLEP) is a six-year initiative (2019–2025) funded by the World Bank and the Global Environment Facility, with a total investment of approximately $55 million. Implemented by Cambodia’s Ministry of Environment and Ministry of Rural Development, the project focuses on the Cardamom Mountains–Tonle Sap (CMTS) landscape, which spans over 3.8 million hectares across seven provinces. Key activities include constructing 500 km of hiking trails, establishing visitor centers, and improving infrastructure to support ecotourism corridors linking Siem Reap and Phnom Penh with the Cardamom Mountains and Tonle Sap Lake.
