About this project

Oxfam proposes a ten months WASH project titled “Improving Access to Safe and Durable Water for Drought-Affected Rural Communities in Hargeisa” with a total budget of USD 787,000 under the SHF Reserve Allocation 2 (2025). Thetarget locations and priority needs were identified through coordination with the Somaliland WASH Emergency Sub-Sector and a joint primary assessment conducted with the Ministry of Water Resources Development and local communities. The project will enhance water availability, quality, and system sustainability through climate-sensitive infrastructure, community capacity building, and inclusive participation of women and persons with disabilities.
