About this project

This integrated 12-month humanitarian action aims to address acute protection, WASH, and food security needs in two locations in Gaza City through locally-led programming aligned with the HIP 2026 and the OPT Flash Appeal. Implemented by PARC, AISHA and Oxfam, the response combines life-saving assistance with early recovery elements and continuous advocacy on access and civilian protection. Protection services will use hybrid delivery combining fixed safe spaces with mobile teams reaching displaced populations facing GBV and psychosocial distress. Survivor-centered case management prioritizes in-kind assistance and facilitated access, while psychosocial support rebuilds community networks. Community-based prevention strengthens local capacity and supports women-led organizations. WASH will prioritize sustainable infrastructure rehabilitation over emergency trucking, restoring municipal water systems at lower cost with interim private well support. Household sanitation addresses overcrowding, targeting female-headed households and families with disabilities. Community-led hygiene promotion addresses behavior change and affordability barriers. Food security breaks the liquidity-infrastructure trap through irrigation rehabilitation coupled with conditional cash-plus assistance, ensuring livelihood support translates into productive output.
