About this project

ARMI has experience in promoting sustainable natural resource management and environmental protection. Its primary focus is on empowering communities by equipping them with the skills and knowledge to identify and manage forest reserves and protected areas; developing resource management plans; promoting sustainable practices through educational campaigns on responsible land use and sustainable harvesting of forest products; building institutional capacity; supporting livelihoods by fostering entrepreneurship among forest-dependent communities; and recognizing the threat of climate change and organising initiatives to strengthen community preparation.They also provide training on disaster response, mitigation, and recovery, and 37 facilitate knowledgeexchange to share best practices in natural disaster management across villages. ARMI will promote awareness-raising among households on NSSF, labour rights, OSHand gender equality (A.1.3.3); and strengthen advocacy, communications and awareness-raisingcapacities (A.1.4.1) particularly amongtea and forestry sector workers in Phongsaly Province.
