About this project

IWAA is a non-profit organization founded and managed by Lao people that supports and helps irregular or informal workers. Five of its six employees are women, and they actively cooperate with local authorities, development organizations, and home-based worker networks in Southeast Asia to support informal workers, especially women. The association has strong experience in working with local communities, capacity building and training activities, gender equality promotion, and social protection. They will contribute to the project’s interventions to pilot innovative ways for NSSF registration (A.1.1.2); formulate gender-responsive policy and institutional recommendations (A.1.2.1); promote awareness-raising among workers and households on NSSF, labour rights, OSH and gender equality (A.1.3.3); and strengthen advocacy, research, and awareness-raising capacities (A.1.4.1) in Luangprabang and Vientiane Province.
