About this project

LFTU is an ILO constituent and current partner with Oxfam on its work concerning labour rights, social protection and informal workers. It will contribute to the pilots for increased access to social security registration (A.1.1.2), promote awareness raising among coffee, tea, and forestry sector workers and households on benefits, processes and requirements of NSSF registration, labour rights, and OSH (A.1.3.3), organise and/or participate in multi-stakeholder platforms and promote social dialogue (A.1.1.4), promote and support social dialogue and collective bargaining between coffee, tea, and forestry sector workers and employers on social protection, OSH and formalization of employment (A.1.3.4 and A.1.4.3), increased capacities of informal workers’ organizations, farmers’ organizations to effectively advocate for the rights and needs of informal workers in the area of social protection and labour rights (A.1.4.1). They will be particularly involved in the activities in Luangnamtha Province,while supporting CSOs in the other provinces as well.
