About this project
As Indonesia is importing a high percentage of its food, despite the fertile soils and favourable climate, the President and two Ministries have decided to produce more food, in a sustainable and responsible way. A new Management Authority Board (BOPK, Badan Otorita Pengelola Kawasan,) with Ministerial representatives will manage the future of a 15,000 ha area in North Sumatra. This project offers training and support to this Management Authority Board while it is writing a 20-year Master Plan for the area.
