About this project

This activity supports the establishment and first-year operations of the Ghana Agroforestry Technical Working Group (ATWG), a national, multi-stakeholder platform dedicated to integrating agroforestry into sustainable agricultural production and land-use policy. Building on a year-long participatory process facilitated by i4Policy with support from the Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO) and the Netherlands Embassy in Ghana, the ATWG will bring together government agencies, cooperatives, private sector , NGOs, development partners, and research institutions. The group will validate and finalise the Agroforestry Policy Insights and Action Framework, with a specific focus on agroforestry systems as a pathway to an agricultural sector more equipped to handle climate change.
