About this project

The project aims to develop the market for fertilisation and crop protection solutions compatible with agro-ecological practices for small farmers in Côte d’Ivoire. The cluster therefore includes three Dutch businesses with experience and investments for ecological input production and distribution in Côte d’Ivoire. For these businesses, the project will contribute their strategic market and business development targets. In addition to access to inputs, these companies will train farmers on skills and knowledge to take advantage of their waste material directly to produce part of their fertility inputs. The goal is to increase the access of horticulture farmers to better solutions and knowledge and to improve the knowledge base for agronomical advice to farmers nationwide. In the long term, the technologies that the cluster will bring forward are biological protection of crops, biological stimulation of soil activity, use of biochar and compost for soil restoration, simple accounting training to manage profitability of horticulture production.
