About this project

FlowerWatch B.V. (FW) focuses on monitoring and optimising the temperature in the logistics chain, with the aim of guaranteeing the quality of flowers during transport. FW wants to demonstrate that with their technology they can improve the quality and efficiency of the cold chain in flower logistics in Ethiopia.In addition to monitoring temperature variations, their technology can also be valuable when switching from air freight to sea freight (a more sustainable transport process), where there are much longer transport times and where precise temperature control is essential to ensure the quality of the flowers.The company sells advanced data loggers that measure and record temperature variations during transport and are connected to their Watch-itT platform for data analysis. This platform offers growers, transporters and retailers insight into temperature performance, allowing them to quickly intervene in and minimize loss of quality and improve chain performance.
