About this project
The request for deployment is part of UNHCR’s waste management programme, developing supply-related strategies for UNHCR refugee camps. The project contributes to the programme by assessing and analysing the way UNHCR’s supply activities (distribution, storage, maintenance, consumption) create waste, through a combination of remote study and field missions. Once the deployment is finished, the final deliverables will be used within the UNHCR’s waste management programme to further develop tools for tailored guidance around waste management, and work towards mitigating environmental degradation and minimising the environmental footprint of humanitarian assistance.RemarkDue to the transparency with regard to the IATI projects, a non-ODA country has been included in this project.
