About this project
The government of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) has reported a new Ebola virus disease (EVD) outbreak in Ituri Province, affecting the health zones of Mongbwalu, Rwampara, and Bunia. In response, national and international partners have activated emergency coordination and management mechanisms. To support this effort, UNICEF is requesting temporary surge personnel to provide senior-level leadership and strengthen the strategic, technical, and operational coordination of its infection Prevention and Control (IPC) and Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH) and emergency protection response in Ituri, ensuring a rapid, effective, and well-coordinated Ebola response.
