About this project
For over two decades, the Netherlands has been a frontrunner in energy access in the Global South. Dutch development cooperation is now placing greater emphasis on water, food security, and health, alongside a growing role for the Dutch private sector in the development agenda.Renewable energy is a key enabler across these themes: it supports agricultural productivity, reduces food loss, improves water access, strengthens the medical cold chain, and ensures reliable, affordable energy supply.Building on this context, the assignment aims to provide the Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO) with insights into opportunities for broader Dutch private sector engagement in the Water-Energy-Food Nexus across partner countries in Sub-Saharan Africa.
