About this project
This project is aimed at strengthening the bilateral engagement of Netherlands embassy in Tanzania and the Tanzanian Ministry of Livestock and Fisheries. The underlying Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), which was recently extended for another five years (2024-2029), is proof of a longstanding collaboration of the two countries. To further develop the poultry health status in Tanzania, well-trained veterinarians and suitable veterinary diagnostics are crucial. It is important to lay a good foundation and determine gaps to tackle in the future for this development. In this project a dedicated team of the TVLA (Tanzania Veterinary Laboratory Agency) will be trained by Royal GD combining first an on-site training to lay this good foundation and second online consultancy to further develop the skills and determine gaps that need to be addressed. The project sets out to contribute to a resilient and future-proof poultry sector by improving the curriculum offer and support and encourage students to increase their understanding of the poultry industry.
