About this project
The Netherlands and Indonesia have been working together for many years to improve how land and map data are collected and used. Dutch knowledge helped Indonesia map over 120 million pieces of land through its OneMap programme. Now, the goal is to build a strong system in Indonesia for using satellite images and map data, based on a successful Dutch example. This system will help the Indonesian government and citizens get better access to reliable data, which can improve land use and food security. It also helps farmers and businesses join climate-friendly and nature-friendly supply chains. This project is the first step in creating a long-term plan. Afterwards, more partners from both countries and the World Bank will be invited to join. It could lead to bigger investments in public services through programmes like Invest International and the Integrated Land Administration and Spatial Planning (ILASP).
