About this project

The objective of this public-private partnership is to achieve an optimal positioning and market access of the Dutch Climate and Water Smart Protected Cultivation sector in Egypt. The program contains pre-competitive promotion activities for the collective Dutch Horti- and water sector such as incoming and outgoing missions, NL Branding, a local liaison to build and extend the network, Knowledge to Knowledge and Government to Government activities. The Dutch companies involved (or that will become involved) in the partnership offer solutions for water scarcity, climate effects and production of fresh produce. Introduction and export of these Dutch technologies to Egypt should create a positive impact on Sustainable Development Goals (SDG): • 2: Zero Hunger;• 8: Promote sustained, inclusive and sustainable economic growth, full and productive employment and decent work for all;• 12: Responsible consumption and production;• 13: Climate Action;• 17: Partnerships for the goals. This partnership is part of the combi-track Climate and Water Smart Agriculture Egypt (CaWSA) and aligned with the other initiatives under this umbrella.
