Strengthening the (commercial) input for the dairy sector in Ethiopia

About this project

The purpose of this project is to help develop the dairy sector in Ethiopia by enabling the Impact Clusters partners to provide various key dairy inputs (e.g. machinery & equipment, genetics), training, consultancy & demonstration and other services (e.g. revision, maintenance) which are currently unavailable or underdeveloped in the country. These inputs and services will be provided to various stakeholders in the Ethiopian dairy sector including dairy farmers and cooperatives. The inputs and services will be introduced and distributed through one main centre in Addis Ababa and in the key dairy regions across the country. These centres will be developed as part of this project. In this way, the project aims to further the professionalisation, commercialisation and sustainability of the Ethiopian dairy sector, while at the same time enabling the Impact Cluster partners to increase their market presence in Ethiopia.
