Using precision agriculture to improve good agriculture practices in Moldova

About this project

Moldova’s vegetable sector has significant growth potential but remains constrained due to sub-optimal farming practices, lack of access to finance and weak market access. The purpose of this project is to promote the development of the sector by enabling the Impact Cluster partners to introduce an integrated solution that combines precision agriculture technology, tailored capacity building, and a customised tech-enabled financial product. Precision agriculture data collected through remote sensing technology will play an important role in shaping this integrated solution. In this way, the project aims to generate a virtuous cycle of development in the vegetables sector based on strengthened farming practices, enhanced access to finance and increased market access, while at the same time enabling the Impact Cluster partners to increase their market presence in Moldova and the broader region.
