About this project
The purpose of this project is to turn retrofitting of diesel-powered grids with solar photo voltaic (PV) capacity into a solid business case for private mini grid operators and electricity producing companies (EPC). And thereby provide better access to energy services for small entrepreneurs, Internally Displaced People's (IDP’s) and poorer households. It is a follow-up of a successful hybridization project in Luug that was finalized in 2019 and the intention of East-African Electricity Producing Companies to seriously invest in mini-grids using renewable sources for energy supply.
