About this project
In the rural districts of Victoria Falls and Lupane in Zimbabwe, communities face limited economic opportunities, low agricultural productivity, and climate-related challenges. The lack of access to value-addition produce and markets reduces potential income, leaving these communities vulnerable to economic shocks and food insecurity. The project aims to address the lack of economic resilience among 500 smallholder farmers by developing value-addition hubs for chili and aromatic herbs. The goal is to transform raw agricultural products into high-value goods, enabling farmers to secure better market prices, diversify income sources, and build long-term financial stability. Training on sustainable farming techniques will contribute to make the project's impact more climate-resilient.The project will facilitate market linkages and participation in regional food expos, creating new opportunities for local producers.
