About this project
This Partners for Water project focuses on improving water efficiency, health conditions, and environmental performance within Bangladesh's household and informal laundry sector, by• assessing current practices,• gendered workloads,• chemical exposure, and water use, and• co-designing low-cost, practical innovations with women's groups in rural and semi-urban areas.Through diagnostic fieldwork, pilot testing, stakeholder engagement, and alliance-building, the project will generate evidence on feasibility and impact, while developing a 2-5 year roadmap for inclusive scale-up and potential long-term investment engagement, contributing to strengthened water security, gender equity, and sustainable WASH systems.
