About this project

This project focuses on the replacement of an old boiler house in Vinnytsia and the construction of a boiler house in Kyiv . The partners will install a new plug-and-play biomass combustion system, which will provide heating and hot water to the communities of the two aforementioned cities. By introducing biomass boilers the communities will receive secure (year-round) heating and hot water and become less dependent on gas and will reduce CO2 emissionsTogether the project partners not only address immediate energy security needs but also support Ukraine’s green recovery, aligning with national energy strategies and Ukraine's goal to Build Back Better. By using biomass, not only the price for heating will drop, CO2 emissions will also go down and the efficiency of the system will be much higher than the previous heating system. This project is designed, engineered and built by KARA Energy Systems, Almelo, the Netherlands and MUST-IPRA/KotloTurboProm, Kharkiv, Ukraine.
