2025 Cape Verde - Floods

About this project

A humanitarian operation led by the Cape Verde Red Cross (CVCV) with IFRC support to assist 40,000 people affected by the August 2025 floods in São Vicente, Santo Antão, and parts of São Nicolau. It provides life-saving relief (food, water, shelter kits, hygiene kits), cash assistance, health and psychosocial support, WASH rehabilitation, and livelihood recovery, while integrating protection, gender, and inclusion and strengthening CVCV’s long-term capacity.
