About this project
The aim of this project is to test and scale Nature-based Solutions as a tool for humanitarian organizations to reduce disaster risks and support livelihoods that are suitable to a healthy ecosystem. The end goal is that people become safer in the face of natural hazards and other shocks. Nature-based Solutions can contribute to this, together with other interventions such as improved water management, and Disaster Risk Reduction, that will be included in the project. We believe that Nature-based Solutions contribute to three strongly interrelated goals that together reduce disaster risks: healthy ecosystems, safe communities, and economic opportunities.
