About this project
The IFRC has launched an Emergency Appeal (MDRVE015) for CHF 50 million to respond to two major earthquakes of magnitude 7.2 and 7.5 that struck north-central Venezuela on 24 June 2026 in rapid succession. The appeal targets 300,000 people and covers immediate life-saving activities across shelter, livelihoods, multipurpose cash, health, WASH, psychosocial support, and protection, alongside strengthening of the Venezuelan Red Cross as the lead national actor.
