About this project
Stichting Vluchteling / IRC/ KAALO propose an integrated WASH & MPCA response in Gaalkacyo and Qardho. WASH: water trucking, borehole rehabilitation, latrines, hygiene promotion, and hygiene kits. MPCA restores purchasing power for food, water, and NFIs. SV/IRC/KAALO target 22,872 people with MPCA and WASH in Gaalkacyo (Mudug) and Qardho (Bari), targeting the same communities: 3,318 individuals will receive both MPCA & WASH. IRC/KAALO implement jointly, with IRC delivering MPCA & WASH activities in Gaalkacyo and KAALO the same in Qardho. IRC ensures technical oversight. The response prevents famine-related mortality, as WASH reduces AWD/cholera and malnutrition risks, while MPCA protects food consumption.
