About this project
This programme focuses on strengthening service delivery systems for oil palm sector in various states of Nigeria as producers face high costs for services and inputs, generally lack cost-effective and climate-smart technology and equipment, and lack timely and accurate market information making it difficult for them to make informed decisions about production and trade or adopt sustainability standards. This programme works to improve the quality and quantity of crude palm oil (CPO) produced from local processors, mostly women, where operations are characterised by the use of outdated and inefficient artisanal processing equipment and practices, to support both the women's businesses as well as benefiting the environment and their health.
