Root of the Land (Yvy Rapó - Raiz da Terra)

About this project

The project will 1) support progress in the land regularisation processes of Guarani territories, 2) strengthen the environmental and territorial sustainability of Guarani Indigenous Lands ensuring greater protection from external threats and the climate emergency, 3) enhance CGY’s communication strategy, ensuring stronger engagement with Guarani communities, government institutions, and society at large, and 4) reinforce CGY’s governance, institutional capacity, and financial sustainability, enabling it to more effectively defend Guarani rights. In addition, the project will strengthen regional Guarani women’s networks as autonomous spaces for organisation and advocacy, through the promotion of regional and national gatherings. In these spaces, women will have access to political, legal, and communication training, with continuous support from CGY coordinators.
