Alliance Microfinance AS - Financial inclusion and market integration for informal producers

About this project

The project will train 12,000 producers in Ethiopia and organize them into some 1,200 producer groups and by that aims to double their income. This will also be supported by improved access to markets via the development of an e-commerce platform and improved access to financial services through the establishment of a financial institution. The Financial Institution aims at providing 5,000 customers with relevant financial services, hereof 3,000 loans to SME's, Micro enteprises and individuals. Urban informal producers and producer groups, unemployed women and youth in the geographic focus areas are the main target group. The focus area is close to Addis.
