About this project
The expected results of the Project are as follows: Impact: The overarching objective of the Ocean for Development program is to promote a strengthened, sustainable and inclusive ocean economy in Indonesia. Outcome 1: Improved institutional capacity on ocean accounting and improved utilization of ecosystem accounting in policy making. Outcome 2: Improved supply and use frameworks in the national accounts. Outcome 3: Progress towards FAIR (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable and Reusable) Ocean Economy Data. The project contributes to gender equality by having a gender balance among both Norwegian and Indonesian project participants when invited to workshops and study visits. Statistics Norway aims to encourage gender equality among participants in capacity building and other activities, even though the Partner country make decisions about who will participate. Furthermore, the final ocean accounts will also include components (within Ocean Governance) that highlight the gender equality situation (ownership relations and other socio-economic conditions related to aquaculture).
