Support to Tropical Forest Alliance Phase 4 - Indonesia

About this project

The Tropical Forest Alliance (TFA) is currently in the fourth phase of implementing a project focused on deforestation-free supply chains and financial markets. Hosted by the World Economic Forum (WEF), the project aims to leverage WEF’s platform and global network to shift prevailing international norms. TFA strives to create enabling conditions for global production of key agricultural commodities to become free from deforestation and ecosystem conversion. To achieve this, TFA will work directly to influence companies across agricultural value chains to decouple their operations from deforestation and ecosystem conversion, while also advocating for systemic change. The initiative aims to influence decision-makers in key consumer and producer geographies, with a particular focus on China, Indonesia, and Brazil. A core objective is also to ensure that influential financial institutions mitigate risks and create investment opportunities through financing companies that prioritize this.
