About this project

Impact areas: In transforming food and land use systems, FOLU aims to contribute to four overarching impact areas or agendas: 1. Addressing climate change 2. Reducing and reversing deforestation and nature loss 3. Enabling sustainable development 4. Improving human health and food and nutrition security Outcomes: 1. An increasingly enabling policy environment and strengthened national action plans and international support delivering regenerative, equitable and resilient food & land use systems and accessible healthy diets in 7 FOLU countries and globally. 2. Key food value chain actors increasingly align and mobilize to transform value chains, share value equitably and address power imbalance in FOLU countries & contribute to global targets incl reduced deforestation. 3. Landscape-based approaches increasingly used by key stakeholders at the appropriate scales to enable food & land use system transformation and reduce deforestation in FOLU countries. 4. Stakeholders increasingly aligned on how to unlock opportunities and reduce trade-offs and challenges of food & land use systems transformation in FOLU countries, so that they are just, sustainable, resilient and economically viable and can deliver key nutrition, health, climate and environmental outcomes. 5. (Intermediate). Stakeholders apply, learn, refine and scale the generated understanding, knowledge and scalable action to address priority bottlenecks within the context of national action plans and global targets.
