Leveraging Partnerships to Tackle Forestry-related Corruption and Crime - Peru

About this project

The objective is to create significant obstacles to corruption that enables illegal logging and mining in forested areas while undermining conservation policies. IMPACT: Operational ease of forest crime reduced, mitigating the incentives of such activities thereby contributing to reductions in deforestation. Outcome 1: Significant obstacles to the corruption that facilitates illegal logging and mining in forested areas that undermines conservation policies Intermediate Outcome 1: Stakeholders strengthen forestry-related corruption prevention measures and system Intermediate Outcome 2: Financial crime related to forest corruption cases investigated and prosecuted Intermediate Outcome 3: Successes are shared among more partners and geographies Target group: Anti-corruption agencies, law enforcement agencies and other relevant government entities and state-owned enterprises.
