About this project

The project aims to unlock the economic and environmental potential of soybeans by boosting productivity, improving market access, and expanding financial inclusion for smallholder farmers and agribusinesses. It prioritizes women (40% of beneficiaries), youth, and climate-smart practices to strengthen resilience and drive inclusive growth. Located in Tanzania’s Ruvuma region, with 25,000 hectares ready for soybean cultivation, the project aligns with offtake demand and farmer capacity. It supports national priorities and global commitments under the Malabo Declaration and SDGs (1, 2, 5, 8, 13), laying the foundation for scalable, sustainable agricultural transformation.
