About this project
The agreement is part of Norad's Enterprise Development for Renewable Energy (EDRE) Scheme. Norad's support helps mitigate Serengeti Energy’s risks in developing the 15 MW Mumbuluna and 20 MW Chimpempe hydropower projects. Supported activities include updating feasibility studies, conducting environmental and social mapping, and performing power evacuation studies. The primary beneficiaries are the population of Zambia, particularly those in Luapula Province.
