SEI WATCH PHASE II

About this project

The WATCH II Program aims at supporting i) the operationalization of the PRRH, and ii) the strategic role that Sweden will play as coleader of the Watershed Roundtable. The proposed activities have been organized around the three pillars of the National Watershed Plan, being also directly linked to Sweden’s current co-leadership of the Watershed Roundtable. The plan is based on using the watershed as a frame for planning and decision making to promote improved water resource management through citizen participation leading to enhanced climate resilience and better access to basic public services. The main objective of the Program is oriented to ensure that efforts to enhance the implementation of the new Watershed Plan increase the possibility that watershed planning will lead to on-the-ground changes that improve sustainable management of natural resources and living conditions for disadvantaged communities within a watershed.
