About this project

The project to implemented by the Swedish Environmental Protection Agency seeks to enhance Ukraine's compliance with EU Chapter 27 and the Minamata and Stockholm conventions, particularly in the area of waste management. This will be achieved through a two­pronged approach: first, by aiding the Ministry of Environment Protection in managing and preparing for the EU accession process related to Chapter 27 of the EU Acquis on environment, with a focus on waste; and second, by bolstering the ministry's capacity to implement legislation through effective policy and decision­making, as well as improving communication with waste management stakeholders.
