About this project
The contribution includes support to a local Ukrainian organisation, East SOS, to implement the project Protection and Psychosocial Services for Persons with Limited Mobility and Persons with Disabilities Affected by the War. The project will mainly provide support to two shelters/lodging centres for evacuees. Persons with limited mobility and persons with disabilities from the frontline areas affected by the war will be evacuated and placed in temporary accommodation. East SOS is mainly operating in Ukrainian frontline areas with acute humanitarian needs and lower humanitarian presence therefore Sida finds that the organisation has a clear added value in Sida's support to humanitarian operations in Ukraine. The organisation's interventions have clear protection aspects, are based on needs assessments that include prioritisation of people in need and that they providing tailored support to particularly vulnerable people or people with diverse needs, in particular older people, people with reduced mobility and people with disabilities.
