About this project

Barnfonden’s program Unite for Children, Youth and Environment is designed to support eight local civil society organizations in four countries: Kenya, Ethiopia, Bolivia and Bangladesh. The program’s overarching goal is for children and young people to realize their rights through increased knowledge and strengthened resilience, ensuring their well-being, protection, participation, and equal access to a healthy and sustainable environment. The programme aims to support a green economy through nature-based solutions, sustainable resource use, and climate-smart innovations. Examples of actions to be implemented include climate-smart agriculture, green jobs, sustainable farming, climate education, eco-clubs, safe water and sanitation, environmental awareness raising, community resilience and climate adaptation strategies.
