About this project

Sweden is supporting the programme “Livelihood, Infrastructure and Food Systems Transformation – LIFT Palestine”, implemented by We Effect during 2025–2029. The programme contributes to economic development, improved infrastructure, and job creation, with a focus on entrepreneurship and the economic empowerment of youth and women. LIFT aims to strengthen rural livelihoods by improving access to productive agricultural infrastructure and enhancing community resilience. It also promotes inclusive economic opportunities through agricultural enterprises, while supporting climate-smart agriculture and market-based solutions. Implemented by We Effect and its Palestinian partners, the programme builds on strong experience and capacity to deliver results, drawing on previous cooperation and established systems for effective implementation, monitoring, and accountability. With a focus on vulnerable rural communities, the programme adopts a participatory approach aligned with national priorities. By strengthening access to infrastructure, knowledge, and sustainable practices, it supports more resilient livelihoods and contributes to broader economic and environmental sustainability. Despite a challenging context, the programme is designed to manage risks effectively and deliver meaningful impact for communities.
