About this project
This activity supports community-based climate resilience and women’s participation in environmental governance in remote mountain communities of the Yaghnob Valley, Tajikistan. It focuses on villages where geographic isolation, energy poverty, and environmental degradation significantly affect livelihoods, particularly for women. During 2026, the activity will strengthen women’s knowledge and leadership in natural resource management, expand access to sustainable household energy solutions, and support inclusive community engagement in conservation-related decision-making. Planned interventions include capacity-building activities for women, provision of small-scale renewable energy solutions, a study visit for active participants, and cooperation with local environmental authorities.
