About this project
This activity supports efforts to combat sexual harassment at the University of Eswatini, which continues to significantly affect women and marginalized groups. The project aims to engage 1,200 students through advocacy, education, and positive norm-building to promote safer campus environments. Activities carried out this quarter included the project team joining partners at the Annual Programmes Meeting (APM) in Ethiopia, the second round of Training of Facilitators (TOF II) was also conducted for student champions, equipping them with the skills and knowledge to lead peer-driven interventions on campus. In addition, branded merchandise was also resourced for student champions to support their visibility and advocacy efforts. The project seeks to empower students as advocates for change and aligns with Sustainable Development Goal 5 (Gender Equality) as well as national efforts to address and prevent gender-based violence in Eswatini.
