Green Cities 2 W2 E2 - Tbilisi Landfill Gas Project

About this project

The investment will address the priority needs of the City identified under the Green City Action Plan ("GCAP"). The Project will finance the closure, remediation and final capping of the Didi Lilo landfill cells and installation of a landfill gas ("LFG") collection, flaring and utilisation (landfill gas-to-energy conversion) system. The Project aims to contribute to improved environment in Tbilisi. The Project is part of Green Cities Framework 2 ("GrCF2") and is the follow-on investment under the Tbilisi's GCAP approved in September 2017. The Project will also bring landfill operations in line with the relevant EU environmental standards.
