About this project
Provision of a senior loan of up to USD 8 million to Ulaanbaatar Flour LLC. The proceeds of the loan will finance the company's working capital needs to purchase up to 25% of its annual wheat procurement. The Project is in line with the EBRD country strategy for Mongolia to enhance resilience by strengthening the competitiveness of the non-extractive sector and easing access to finance. The loan supports growth and competitiveness of the company by funding its working capital needs to increase share of locally procured wheat. This will help to substitute wheat import, including from Russia, which was around 26% of total wheat procurement in 2023-2024.
